  • Stay home whenever possible.
  • This is not the time to gather with friends. Connect virtually and social distance.
  • If you have travelled out of country, quarantine for 14 days.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cough or sneeze into your sleeve, not hands.
  • Practice social distancing if you need to go out in the community – at grocery stores and appointments.
  • Stay home if you feel sick.
  • Don’t call for an ambulance for COVID-19 as it will not get you assessed faster.
  • Use the BC Ministry of Health and BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool.
  • If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or require assistance with other health issues, call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1.
  • Ensure you have a good supply of necessary prescriptions.
  • If you are a senior who needs help, are aware of any seniors who need assistance, or want to volunteer to assist – call bc211
  • Have your emergency kit  and supplies ready – stock up on essentials for you, your family and pets.
