Public applications being accepted for Land Use and Development Committee (closes NOON February 2, 2021)

  • The District of Sooke is accepting applications from members of the public interested in serving on the District’s Land Use and Development Committee.

Multi-use Sports Box (open until December 1, 2021)

Thanks to an $892,778 Canada Infrastructure Program – Community, Culture, and Recreation Program grant and $400,000 contribution from Sunriver Estates, the District of Sooke and SEAPARC are beginning the development of a multi-use sports box at 2430 Phillips Road in Sunriver. 

  • Participate in this 5-question survey designed to curate a wish list of potential amenities, respond to concerns, and receive general comments on the project. The survey will be available for the duration of the project.

  • The District of Sooke is accepting applications from members of the public interested in serving on Council committees. Four committees, including the newly formed Community Economic Development Committee and the Land Use and Development Committee, are currently seeking members, click here to learn more.

Picture Sooke: OCP Review Virtual Ideas Fair – Growth Scenarios (coming early 2021)

  • Growth Scenarios: public input on growth scenarios will be available in early 2021. Please check back.
  • The community visioning phase, the first phase (of several) in the OCP Review community engagement process, is now closed.

Tree Management Bylaw (closed)

  • The online survey is now closed. Thank you to the 433 participants who engaged in this phase of the process.
  • What’s next: stakeholder engagement is underway and will continue until November 27, 2020. A draft bylaw will be presented to council on December 14, 2020.

Housing Needs Survey (closed)

  • This year, the District of Sooke has collected information for the first Sooke Housing Needs Report through a Housing Needs Survey. The results of this survey can be found here.
