The District of Sooke’s Board of Variance is seeking membership. There is one (1) appointment vacancy for a three-year term to the three-member Board at this time. The board of Variance is an independent body that considers requests for minor variances to the Sooke Zoning Bylaw, where compliance would cause undue hardship.
The Board of Variance is required under Section 536 of the Local Government Act and is formed in accordance with District of Sooke Bylaw No. 311, Board of Variance Bylaw, 2009.
