Public Service Announcement: Routine Accessible Walkway Maintenance at Ed Macgregor Park

Tuesday, May 7, 2024 – Please be advised that routine maintenance will be conducted on the accessible walkway at Ed Macgregor Park in the coming days. Crews will be cleaning and treating the walkway with an anti-slip solution to ensure your safety and enjoyment of the boardwalk.

During this maintenance period, the affected portion of the trail access will be temporarily closed for public use. An alternative entry to the park is available via the stairs at the Murray Road entrance.

Short-term closure in effect for maintenance:

  1. Date(s): Thursday, May 9, 2024 AND Friday, May 10, 2024

We want to reassure everyone that the product being used for treatment is biodegradable and safe for pets. Nevertheless, it’s important that park users do not allow their pets to walk on the treated areas until the surface has fully dried. In the event of accidental contact, a simple rinse of your furry friend’s paws is appropriate.

Your cooperation and understanding during this maintenance process are greatly appreciated. Our goal is to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all park visitors, and this maintenance work plays a vital role in achieving that objective.
