Monday, November 1, 2021 – There is a collection bin at the District of Sooke Municipal Hall for The Backpack Project.
Each year, The Backpack Project provides those in need in our community with backpacks full of necessities & comfort items on Christmas Day.
Here are some of the items they would be grateful to receive:
- Toiletry Items
- Ready to eat foods (such as cans with a pull tab to open)
- Blankets and Sleeping Bags
- Hoodies and Sweaters
- Warm winter socks
- Compact umbrellas
- Scarves, hats and gloves
- Cash or Gift Card donations that will be used to purchase food and other items needed.
