With the recent passing of Councillor Brenda Parkinson, a municipal by-election is required to be held to fill the vacancy.
Nomination packages are now available for those interested in running for the position of Councillor and are available at the District Office, 2205 Otter Point Road, Sooke BC between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
Advance voting will be held in Council Chambers, 2225 Otter Point Road between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18th and Wednesday, September 25th. General voting will be held on September 28, 2019 at Edward Milne Community School, 6218 Sooke Road between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
