Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 3:32 p.m. – It is anticipated that Sooke River Road will open to single-lane alternating traffic for local area residents at approximately 4:00 p.m. and that both lanes will be re-opened later this evening, likely around 7:00 p.m. Be advised that times are subject to change depending on conditions.

Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 7:00 a.m. – What appears to be a “small” rock/landslide has closed Sooke River Road at the 3100 block. Crews are on site to clear the road and verify neighbouring bank stability.
There is no vehicle access to Sooke Potholes Parks at this time.
The road is expected to be closed for several hours while crews tend to the site.
