Sooke Fire Fighter, Retired Deputy Chief Rick McLeod, Honoured for 30 years of Continuous Service

December 15, 2022 – Retired Deputy Chief, Rick McLeod celebrated 30 years of continuous and exemplary service to the community of Sooke this year.

McLeod continues to support the community as the lead of the Fire Incident Support Team and serves on the Emergency Support Services (ESS) team.

“He is a true gem within our community and we are honoured to call him a member of the Sooke Fire Rescue team,” shares Julie Barlow with the Sooke Fire and Emergency Program Services. “Much gratitude to DC McLeod’s wife, Valerie McLeod as well as behind every great firefighter is a family who supports them!” Barlow adds.
