Friday, May 5, 2023 – Sooke Legion members and cadets will commemorate the longest battle of the Second World War, the Battle of the Atlantic, on Sunday, May 7th at 10:50 a.m.
Each year, on the first Sunday in May, Canada and its naval community remember the sailors, aviators, and mariners who died at sea during the Battle of the Atlantic. A service, including a member parade, will occur on Eustace Road by the Legion. During the parade, from approximately 10:50 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eustace Road will be closed from Otter Point Road to Shields Road.
