Wednesday, October 9, 2024 – The Friends of Sooke Parks Society, with support from the District of Sooke, invites all community members to join the Pineridge Park Clean Up on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 3 PM to 5 PM. This event will focus on invasive species removal and FireSmart park care in advance the upcoming pumpkin walk.
Located at Pineridge Park, participants can access the event via the 6600 block of Rhodonite Drive or by taking the path off Pineridge Place. The District of Sooke Parks team will be on-site to assist in identifying invasive species and demonstrate effective
removal techniques.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and pruners, though tools and guidance will be available for anyone who needs them. Warm beverages will be provided, and families are welcome—there will be tasks for all ages to contribute to. Even if you’re unable to participate in the clean-up, you’re welcome to stop by and cheer on those who are volunteering.
