Wednesday, December 14, 2022 – The District is sharing the following information from Windley Contracting Ltd:
Effective December 15, 2022, Windley Contracting will be implementing the next phase of highway construction which will include the opening of the Gillespie Road/ Connie Road Intersection for eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 14.
On December 15, 2022, traffic heading eastbound from Sooke will now be able to access Gillespie Road/ Connie Road by making a right-hand turn. Traffic heading westbound will be able to access Gillespie Road/Connie Road by making a right-hand turn and going under the bridge.
Traffic will no longer be able to make a left-hand turn at the intersection of Highway 14 in either direction.
Guide signs will be in place to direct traffic to their destinations or to assist them in turning around if needed.
