Sooke Holiday Parade: Celebrating 25 Years!

Silver Bells Theme for Sooke’s Silver Anniversary!

The District of Sooke and the Sooke Lions are thrilled to present the Sooke Holiday Parade with this year’s festive theme, “Silver Bells,” to honor our 25th year since incorporation—our silver anniversary!

The celebration kicks off on Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 pm at the Sooke Branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library with pre-parade festivities. Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and hot dogs, capture magical moments with the season’s favourite visitor from the North Pole, and unleash your creativity at our craft station, all while taking in live musical performances.

At just after 5 pm, the Sooke Holiday Parade will begin its NEW parade route! Watch as dazzling floats and holiday cheer make their way from Journey Middle School, down Throup Road, through Church Road, and finishing on Wadams Way. Foot participants will disperse at the Sooke Family Resource Centre parking lot, while parade vehicles will continue onto Otter Point Road.

Please note, for the safety of participants and spectators, road closures will be in effect from 4 pm to 6:30 pm along the parade route: Throup Road from Journey Middle School to Church Road, Church Road from the roundabout to Wadams Way, and Wadams Way from Church Road to Townsend Road.

Join us for this unforgettable event, where Silver Bells will ring in the holiday season and Sooke’s silver anniversary. Let’s celebrate 25 years of community, spirit, and holiday magic together!
