Community partners are coming together to CELEBRATE SOOKE, one of the most resilient cities in BC!

After a year like none another, you are invited to join your neighbours in John Phillips Memorial Park for a free, family festival! Mark your calendar, September 18, 2021, there will be ample opportunities for you to get together, safely, enjoy the outdoors and Celebrate Sooke Event Flyer!

This event is being planned following current health regulations. 


Festivities include:

  • Live Music hosted by the Sooke Music Festival
  • FREE Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Sooke Lions, 8am-10am
  • Bike Parade hosted by the Sooke Fall Fair – bring your bikes, decorated for a ride on the Stickleback Urban Trails through the park! at 10am
  • West Coast Lumberjacks Logging Shows at 11am, 1pm & 3pm: WATCH >>
  • Colouring Contest – Cut out the page from the Sooke News Mirror on September 2 & 9, bring your colouring sheet to the event OR participate at the event!
  • Kids’ Zone hosted by Sooke Harbourside Lions featuring Just Bounce Inflatables! 9am-5pm
  • Donald Dunphy Magic Show in the Kids’ Zone at 12pm & 2pm

  • Masks encouraged
  • Please respect the space of other and maintain your distance
SANITIZATION AND CLEANING MEASURES
Wash stations monitored by volunteers will be located throughout the park. While dedicated volunteers are helping with cleaning and sanitizing, we ask all attendees to assist by sanitizing their hands and surfaces they touch.  Please also make use of the provided garbage and recycling stations.
Event attendees are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.
