DeMamiel Creek Pedestrian Crossing

The District of Sooke is currently engaged in preliminary planning for a potential new trail connection from the Sunriver/Phillips Road neighborhood to the existing trail systems in the Sooke town centre and nearby schools. The crossing is intended to increase community connectivity and provide a safe link over DeMamiel Creek.

Work to date has identified two trail alignments that are currently being evaluated. Part of the evaluation process includes consultation with community stakeholders and public to get their comments and ideas on each alignment.

A Public Open House will be held at SEAPARC on May 16 from 4-7 pm. Please take a few minutes to drop by, browse through the posters, and provide your comments.

Thank you for your interest in this project!
