COVID-19 Update: Call from Province to report critical supplies inventory – Sooke Tennis Court closed

Call from Provincebusinesses asked to report critical supplies inventory  

The Province has requested that businesses and organizations, who have critical supplies in their possession, undertake an inventory of supplies including personal protective equipment, medical supplies and cleaning. Local governments are being asked to share this request with businesses and organizations in our community. At this time, the Province is seeking quantities of 100 units or more.  

The Province asks that all the supplies and associated volumes held by businesses and organizations be outlined, and whether those businesses or organizations would be able to send the supplies to centralized provincial distribution facilities, located in the Lower Mainland and Victoria, for further distribution across BC. Information on the location of these facilities will be forthcoming. 

If your business and/or organization has any of the supplies noted on the inventory form link below in quantities of 100 units or more, please complete the form and email it by Tuesday, April 7, 2020:

Sooke Tennis Courts on Throup Road closed until further notice 

The Community Association has placed locks on the tennis courts located on Throup Road, as of today, March 31, 2020. District Bylaw staff will help patrol the courts to ensure community compliance and safety.
