Friday, January 29, 2021 – The District has received a notification of blasting from Big Bear Blasting Ltd. Blasting will take place at 2150 & 7004 Melrick Place February 2021 until Approximately December 2021.
These blasting operations will be conducted Monday through Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Prior to each blast, the blast area will be cleared of all persons and secured. This will be followed by a series of warning whistles. Before each blast, 12 short whistles will be given at one-second intervals. This will be followed by a 2-minute wait. A blast will be fired.
After the blast, the area will be cleared by the blaster. After the area is cleared by the blaster a long whistle will be given. This is called the all-clear signal. If these whistles are not heard your home is generally outside of the blasting area.
