Wednesday, March 13, 2024 – The District of Sooke reminds residents of tools and resources to report scams and fraud.
The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre shares:
“Scams and cybercrimes can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
If you have been a victim of a scam, fraud or cybercrime, please contact your local police as soon as possible.
It is also recommended that you report the instance of a scam, fraud or cybercrime, whether you are a victim or not, to the CAFC.”
Additionally, Sooke residents can report suspected scams and fraud to the local RCMP either by phone at 250.642.5241 or by using their online reporting tool.
