Sooke Community Association Hosts the Beloved All Sooke Day Family Picnic

Monday, August 12, 2024 – The Sooke Community Association is excited to host the All Sooke Day Family Picnic, a cherished tradition that celebrates the spirit and togetherness of our community. Scheduled for Saturday, August 17th at Fred Milne Park, this vibrant event will feature over 70 local vendors and service groups, offering a day filled with fun, food, and entertainment for all ages.

The District of Sooke is proud to contribute $5,000 towards this event, highlighting our commitment to fostering community connections and supporting local businesses. Events like the All Sooke Day Family Picnic not only bring residents together but also play an important role in boosting our local economy by providing a platform for vendors to showcase their offerings.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • 10:00am Sooke Lion’s Pancake Breakfast: Start your day with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Sooke Lions.
  • 11:30am Opening Ceremonies: Enjoy the official kick off the festivities with opening ceremonies.
  • 12:00pm, 2:00pm & 4:00pm Laughing Loggers Show: Take in three special performances of the Laughing Loggers Show, full of fun and excitement.
  • Sooke Rotary Club & SEAPARC Kids Zone: A delightful area where children can enjoy hours of fun in our exciting bouncy castles.
  • Over 70 Vendors & Food Trucks: Explore a variety of vendors and food trucks offering a wide range of delicious treats and local goods.
  • FREE Salmon BBQ, while supplies last, sponsored by the District of Sooke
  • Beer Gardens: Relax in the beer garden.

Please note that while we encourage everyone to join in the fun, the event is a no-dog zone for the safety and comfort of all attendees.
