Friday, August 2, 2024 – The District of Sooke Council meeting originally scheduled for July 22, 2024, was postponed due to the Old Man Lake Wildfire. A Special Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 6:00 PM to address time-sensitive agenda items that do not have legislated advertising requirements.
The agenda for this Special Meeting includes two key sponsorship requests:
- A request from the Sooke Soccer Club.
- A request in support of the Community Association Salmon Luncheon, part of the All Sooke Day event scheduled for August 17, 2024.
Most of the remaining items from the July 22, 2024, agenda will move to the next Regular Council Meeting on September 9, 2024. However, the delegations scheduled for July 22, 2024 may move to an October meeting based on guest availability.
