Sooke Library Open House showcases designs for new library building

The Sooke Branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, May 16th to reveal the designs for the new library building to be build on Wadams Way.

The construction of a new community library facility has been a goal shared by the District of Sooke and the Vancouver Island Regional Library board for many years. As committed partners, District of Sooke Mayor and Council look forward to the benefits that a new library will bring to the community.

“Providing opportunities for residents to gather and connect is strategic priority of this Council,” says Sooke Mayor Maja Tait. “Council felt strongly that the library facility should be located in the Town Centre and is pleased to have been able to work with the Vancouver Island Library Board towards this goal. The unveiling of the building designs is an exciting step towards completion of this project. I encourage residents to attend the Open House and learn more about the new library facility”.
