National Tree Day Planting – Ponds Corridor Park

[Sooke, BC] – The District of Sooke is pleased to provide funding in the amount of $2,000 to facilitate the tree planting process and assist in this beautification project that will benefit trail users.

Sooke Home Hardware and Tree Canada will be planting 11 Chestnut trees at the Ponds Corridor Park between Townsend and Church Roads on Wednesday, September 27th in celebration of National Tree Day.

National Tree Day falls on the Wednesday of National Forest Week and is celebrated across the country. The event will take place at 4:00 pm for anyone interested in attending.
