Mayor Welcomes Public Input

NEWS RELEASE – January 17, 2017

[Sooke, BC] Mayor Maja Tait is pleased to announce the addition of Public Input sessions immediately prior to Regular Council meetings, beginning on January 23, 2017. During these informal sessions, the public is invited to address Mayor and Council regarding any issue of concern that falls within Council’s authority. An informal “Town Hall” meeting format will be used to promote open dialogue.

Public Input sessions will continue through to the month of April on a trial basis. If the public finds these sessions valuable, Mayor and Council will consider extending them on a more permanent basis.

Public Input Meetings are scheduled as follows, and will be held in the Council Chambers at 2225 Otter Point Road:

Monday, January 23, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Tuesday, February 14, 2017  6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Monday, February, 27, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Monday, March 13, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Monday, March 27, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Monday, April 10, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
Monday, April 24, 2017 6:00 pm – 6:40 pm
