Wednesday, April 27, 2022 – District of Sooke Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Norm McInnis, is taking a medical leave while undergoing cancer treatment.
The district will bring in interim CAO Don Schaffer, who previously served with the District of Sooke and is familiar with the community.
“Norm has made such a tremendous contribution to Sooke since joining our team in 2019, and we are standing with him as he undergoes treatment,” Mayor Maja Tait shares. “Norm is working with Mr. Schaffer, along with the District’s leadership team, to ensure a smooth transition for district staff and residents.”
CAO McInnis will begin medical leave on Monday, May 2, 2022.
