A young celebrity marriage counselor discovers herself left at the altar of her own highly publicized wedding. To save face, she accepts an offer from her contractor – who secretly has a crush on her – to step in as groom and marry her.

Actors Vanessa Marcil and David Sutcliffe began filming ‘The Convenient Groom’ at the Prestige Hotel in Sooke on Monday, May 2, 2016. Production Manager, Darren Robson, said filming would continue Tuesday, May 3rd to Thursday, May 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m..

Vanessa Marcil is an American actress, best known for her television roles as Brenda Barrett on General Hospital, Gina Kincaid on Beverly Hills, 90210, and Sam Marquez on Las Vegas.

David Sutcliffe is a Canadian actor, best known for playing Christopher Hayden, Rory Gilmore’s father and Lorelai Gilmore’s on-and-off boyfriend, on the CW show Gilmore Girls. He played the lead role in Cracked as Detective Aidan Black.

All extras hired are from Vancouver Island, and one hair and makeup trainee has been hired from Sooke.
