OCP Adopted
On May 17, 2010, District of Sooke Council approved our community’s new Official Community Plan (OCP). For over two years the OCP Review Committee, residents, staff, Council, consultants, and both government and non-governmental agencies have all lent a hand in developing a long term vision for Sooke.
Five Year Financial Plan Adopted
The revised 2010 Five Year Financial Plan for the District of Sooke was presented at the May 10th, 2010 Regular Council Meeting and, in accordance with the Community Charter, Council adopted the plan the following night at a Special Council meeting.
Fire Rescue set to Improve Customer Service
Effective July 5, 2010, the District of Sooke Fire Rescue Service will have a minimum of two full time firefighters on shift at Fire Station 1 (municipal hall), 11 hours per day and 7 days per week.
