Mariners Village Marina & Residences Rezoning Information
On June 29, 2009 District of Sooke Council held a public hearing in regards to the proposed rezoning for the Mariners Village Marina and Residences development. After the public hearing Council then approved 3rd Reading of Bylaw 405 to create the Mariners Village Comprehensive Development Amenity Zone for the properties noted on Appendix A to the bylaw. After the necessary covenants are registered on title and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure signs the bylaw, Council will then be asked to provide 4th (final) Reading to the bylaw.
At the public hearing the applicant for the project, Merrick Architecture, provided a very detailed presentation to Council, staff and those residents in attendance. After the presentation it was requested by some residents that the presentation and bylaw information be provided on the District’s website which can now be found below via downloadable PDF files.
